‘Pigs will always be pigs’ (1929) by Khanan Shmain is a satirical comedy that ridiculed Soviet bureaucracy, petite bourgeoisie, provincialism, and formalism reduced to absurdity by disorder and sabotage.
The film was thought lost until it was found in Germany in 2015.
